Letter Focus- Zz

It's hard to believe that this is the last Newsletter of the school year. The past 8 months have gone by way too fast! The next few weeks will be busy but fun.  Encourage your child to practice their names, letters, the letter sounds and numbers over the summer (Saying them and writing them).

Field Trips

All field trips will take place within regular class times with some variations.  Any parents that can help will be greatly appreciated. I will need at least 5 parents for each trip...the more the better (younger siblings are welcome).

* Friday May 2nd Reed's Dairy.  If your child needs a ride, have them to the Preschool by 9:00 (Am class) or 12:30 (Pm class). Any parents that are coming along can meet us there at 9:30 or 1:00. When we are done at the dairy (if weather allows) we will play at the park just down the road from the dairy.  We will be having ice cream so if you are not planning on going to the trip please send $2.00 with your child (Parents helping with the field trip can purchase their child's ice cream there). Please send a jacket and regular shoes  (NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS PLEASE).  I will provide water at the park. I Know this isn't a regular class day, I didn't want to take away from any classroom time.

* The Zoo Wednesday May 7th Morning class- Meet at the school at 9:20 if your child needs a ride. If you are coming on the field trip you can meet us there by 9:35, we have to check in at 9:45. Afternoon class- Meet at the school by 12:20 if your child needs a ride. If you are coming on the field trip you can meet us there by 12:35, We have to check in at 12:45. The Zoo has scheduled our times so we don't spend half the time waiting in line. Due to the size of our group, one payment will have to be made instead of individually.  Our discounted prices are Children 2 and under $.50, Children 3-12 $5.50, Adults $8.00, Seniors (62 and over) $6.50 (you can send cash to school or use Venmo whichever is easiest). Please let me know if you have a Zoo pass (it will need to be shown at the Zoo). No discount will be given if you pay at the window that day. 

I will provide a snack and water after.

*Last classroom day- The last classroom day will be Wednesday May 14th. I will send home report cards on this day.

* The Park- Monday May 19th. We will have preschool at the park on this day so we can practice for graduation.  Please drop your child off at the City Park in Shelley (the shelter with the stage) at 10:00 am for the morning class with Pick up at 11:30. Afternoon class drop off 12:30 pm and pick up at 2:00 pm.  Graduation will be held at the same place later that night at 6:00 (Am class) and 7:00 (Pm class). More information will be sent home soon.

* All tuition needs to be paid by May 19th.
